The cigarette found it's name some time in the 18th century: beggars in Seville began to pick from the ground the cigar remains left by the señoritos ,"rich, young men", wrapped the tobacco ends with thin paper and smoked them. The first use of this habit can be seen in 3 18th-century paintings by Fransicaco de Goya
